The first ASEAN lesson plan day
This class is the
first day for teaching “ASEAN” lesson plan. Although, most people have lots of
time to prepare each work; I know every students still depressed and excited
about testing. There’re 13 people that presented their lesson plans.
The first person taught
about listening skill. She opens video before. She teaches about Laos and show
vocabulary of places. Her exercise is fills in the blanks by listening to the sound.
She feels so excited to be the first person. The second person taught about the
identity of Laos in speaking skill. They are six topics including food, musical
instrument, currency, flowers and tourist attractions. The terminal objective was
matching the question, answer cards and conversing of identity of Laos. The
third person taught about food of Malaysia such as Ketupat. Her lesson plans
was on reading skill. She used “True or False” for teaching. Her class was interesting
because she could motivate students to pay attention by proper vocabularies in
Malaysia. The forth person taught traveling places of Laos by playing a game
before and she opened video about traveling places. She taught writing skill
and related comparison. In her period, there’re problem about her video. The
fifth is person taught about foods of Singapore and ordering food for example
“Waiter: Excuse me. Would you like to order now? Customer: Yes. I’d like the
Fish Head Curry. ” The vocabularies are Rojak, Yong Tau Foo, Fish Head Curry.
The sixth person teaches about traveling places of Brunei such as Kampong Ayer.
She teaches about reading skill by using news. I think that she should improve
about speaking English and make understand about the lesson more but her lesson
plan is interesting because she uses the news for bringing to the lesson. The
seventh person she opens video before and teaches about traveling places of
Singapore such as Singapore zoo, universal studios Singapore. She teaches
writing skill for writing post cards. Her teaching is very interesting because
she focuses the writing post cards and use authentic material. The eighth
person used video in warm – up and taught about recommend of places in
Malaysia. There’re many interesting place in there. The beautiful presentation
could motivate students to learn. The ninth person taught about do and don’t of
rules in Malaysia. This is the best pattern for teaching culture in ASEAN
community. After finished her class, she provided student to give an example about
differencing Thai and Malaysia cultures. The tenth person taught in currency of
ASEAN such as Indonesia = Rupi, Malaysia = Ringgit, Philippine = Peso. The
eleventh person, she uses a game in warm – up by matching the flag of ASEAN and
the name of country. Her teaching is reading skill. The twelfth person, she
teaches writing traveling places of Vietnam and her teaching is writing.
Moreover, she uses adjective for teaching writing. The thirteenth, she teaches
about currency of each country of ASEAN. She let students to
listen exchange rate conversation.
In conclusion,
there are three factors affected for efficient learning outcome such as
performance, evaluation and condition. Teachers realize to apply content about
it to another function such as teaching students to write a postcard. Teachers
can enhance students to use English in several real life situations.
